Our Faith – Statement of Faith

According with the Christian faith revealed in the Scripture and in step with biblical Christianity, C.I.E.I. association identifies with the following Statement of Faith.
We believe:

1. in the Holy Scriptures, in their canon acknowledged by evangelical Christianity, as originally given by God to us, divinely inspired and infallible. As the Word of God they are our supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:21; Mat. 24:15; Psa. 119:105);

2. in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit (Psa.102:27; Mat. 28:19; John 5:7);

3. in our Lord Jesus Christ, the only mediator, God manifest in the flesh, in His virgin birth, His sinless true human life, His divine miracles, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatorial work, and His Personal return in power and glory (Col. 2:18; Isa. 7:14; Heb. 4:15; Acts 2:22; 1 Pet. 3:18; Mar. 16:19; 1 Tim. 2:5; Luke 21:27; John 4:30,31);

4. that, because of sin, the entire humankind is corrupt and lost, and that Salvation of lost and sinful man, is only by means of the atoning death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ – by faith apart from works – and by regeneration carried out in him by the Holy Spirit (Rom. 5:12; 1 Pet. 1:19,20; 1 Pet. 1:19,20; Rom. 10:9; Eph. 2:8,9; Tit. 3:5);

5. in the Holy Spirit, whose ministry is that of glorifying the Lord Jesus Christ, of reproving the world of sin, to give life to the sinner that repents and believes in Christ, and by whose dwelling in the believer, sanctifying him by Truth, giving him the strength to live a holy life, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ (John. 16:13,14; 16:8; 6:63; 1 John 5:1; Rom. 8:9; 1 Pet. 1:2; Acts 1:8);

6. that the Church is made of all people who, believing in Christ for their salvation, and being regenerated by the Holy Spirit, are spiritually united in the Body of Christ, of which He is the Head (Acts 2:47; 1 Cor. 12:24–27; Col. 1:8);

7. in the bodily resurrection of all dead; they that believe unto the resurrection of life, they that do not believe unto the resurrection of judgement and of everlasting punishment (John 5:28,29; 1Thes. 4:16,17; Apo. 20:11–15)
